Further Education for Project Managers

Only 16% of all software projects are concluded successfully (regarding time, budget and functional requirements). Around 53% of development projects are ended with substantial shortcomings and 31% of all projects fail completely (results according to a study by the Standish Group).

Project management, adapted to the specifics of today's modern and innovative software industry, is therefore essentially important in order to lead projects—and thus also enterprises—to success.

Professional Project Management

The iSQI Certified Professional for Project Management program consists of numerous components. The first component has been offered since March 2003 as a four-day training with subsequent examination.

This Foundation Level deals with tasks, methods, techniques and technologies of project management. The participants get to know every aspect which is relevant for their position as project managers. Apart form the methodological aspects this also includes organizational and social factors. The tasks of a project manager are thus fully covered.

Further education according to internationally recognized standards

This offer has been developed by a working group which represents software companies and software experts with long-standing experience in project management. Dr. Jürgen Schmied, the chairman of the working group, stresses that content and qualification have been developed in accordance to existing standards.
