Automotive SPICE® is a process model developed within the automotive sector in accordance with the rules and guidelines given in ISO/IEC 15504. The major objective here was the aligning of assessments and process improvement programmes for software-based systems, in particular with automotive suppliers. For a number of years now assessors in the automotive industry have been qualified and certified following this model in accordance with iNTACS™ regulations with great success. Today, this qualification approach has become a standard within the automotive industry and a pre-requisite for the approval and acceptance of assessment results. Automotive SPICE® is a registered trademark of Volkswagen AG.
