On Tuesday morning Dr. Thomas Schlick, German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), spoke on "Quality Standards in the Automotive Supply Chain - VDA Strategy for Supporting Software Component Maturity". He illustrated the struggle of Automotive Manufacturers as far as passengers safety, environment protection and inter-car-communication are concerned and stated the efforts of VDA in the triangle between organizational maturity & process maturity and product quality.
