The International Software Architecture Qualification Board (ISAQB) was founded on January, 17th by almost 20 experts from industry and science in Karlsruhe, Germany.
The aim of this world-wide working association is to develop, establish and maintain an independent standard for the qualification of software architects.
This foundation is the successful ending of an almost 5-year-long-lasting initiative of the ASQF. “After the tester and the requirements engineer another certification scheme of the ASQF finds its feet”, happily stated Director Stephan Goericke, who took part in the foundation meeting as a guest.
The newly-elected President of the ISAQB, Wolfgang Fahl, announced his will to authorize iSQI as the certification body. “With this, all iSQI Software Architect certificates could be converted into the new version”, welcomed Goericke this sign of confidence.
