Best paper, best presentation
The International SPICE Days Best Paper Award was won by: Michael Ferchau, Versicherungskammer Bayern and the Best Presentation Award was won by: Lutz Koch, wibas IT Maturity Services GmbH.
Social Event Boat Trip
The sun was already low when 130 participants and guests of the International SPICE Days conference boarded the boat of the Social event on Tuesday evening.
Opening Keynote Thomas Schlick, VDA
On Tuesday morning Dr. Thomas Schlick, German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), spoke on "Quality Standards in the Automotive Supply Chain - VDA Strategy for Supporting Software Component Maturity".

The SPICE Days 2007 in Frankfurt/Germany have been a great success. I’m proud to invite you to the SPICE Days 2008 in Prague.
An international standard is only of little value, when there is no consensus about a uniform understanding of the standard. ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE), as an international standard, is practiced and applied worldwide, however, sometimes in different manner and scope. There are still varying interpretations of the base and generic practises defined in ISO/IEC 15504 part 5.
It needs still some effort to achieve a homogeneous and consistent application and comprehension of the standard. It is necessary to have a platform that allows and fosters discussions, experience exchange as well as consolidation on the development and management of SPICE in the future.
The International SPICE Days 2008 offer a great opportunity to present experience reports, to discuss with colleagues from different industries the newest developments of SPICE as well as to learn about the newest advancements. Become active and use your chance to learn more about the standard.
As the conference chair, I will be very pleased to welcome you at the International SPICE Days 2008 in Prague.
