iSQI partner meeting: Testing (still) isn’t dead

On September 5th,iSQI organised an event for partners throughout The Netherlands and Belgium. We were very excited to see that our partners were just as interested as we are in the topics on the agenda.

The event was by invitation only. Over the course of the coming weeks, we will share relevant information with the market. Please follow our social media channels for more information.

As a sneak preview to what is still to come, we would like to share with you the topics and some of the takeaways of the day:

Frank Frambach (MD for iSQI in The Netherlands) opened the event with an overview of the market. In a survey taken amongst over 1.000 software testing professionals, the three main takeaways were:

1. Testing (still) isn’t dead

2. It’s an automated world, we just get to live in it

3. Agile and DevOps; Keeping it continuous

Stefan Sturm (MD for the International Requirements Engineering Board (IREB)) then proceeded to explain the value and position of Requirements Engineering. Over the last few years, we have seen a big growth in this area, and Stefan went on to explain the Agile way and the place Requirements Engineering has here too.

Hans van Loenhoud (Owner of Taraxacum and Trainer/Consultant) looked at how CABA (Certified Agile Business Analysis) compares to RE@Agile (Agile Primer) Hans explained both areas and where they overlap, thus showing that they are complimentary and not competitive.

Deborah Burton (CEO DevOps Agile Skills Association (DASA)) explained the DASA model and how DevOps is not a Buzz word but a way of thinking and a way of working. The T-shaped professional is reality and DevOps and Testing go very well together. Concluding that indeed testing is not dead, but very much alive and well with a place in the DevOps way of working.

Over the coming months, we will organize a series of Webinars in which various topics relevant to our ever faster changing world will be featured. Make sure to check for dates so you don’t miss a thing.
